On the afternoon of November 28th, on the occasion of the 130th anniversary celebration of Wuhan University, Professor Sun Tianlun, Chief Vice President of Shue Yan University of Hong Kong, and Professor Zhou Dehui, Deputy Director of the Department of Counseling and Psychology, visited the School of Nursing. Qu Wenqian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, Zhao Haolu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Nursing, Zhou Fuling, Dean, Yang Bingxiang, Vice Dean, Liu Yanqun, representatives of some teachers, and staff of internal institutions participated in the exchange activity. Qu Wenqian, on behalf of Wuhan University, warmly welcomes the visit of Shue Yan University in Hong Kong. He reviewed the cooperation process between Wuhan University and Shue Yan University of Hong Kong, and was full of expectations for deeper cooperation between the two universities in the future. Qu Wenqian stated that the nursing discipline of Wuhan University has always been committed to cultivating outstanding nursing talents, especially in recent years, global health has received unprecedented attention and development. The nursing discipline has played an irreplaceable role in the field of human health throughout the entire life cycle from conception to termination. Many new fields of interdisciplinary research and new propositions have emerged in the field of nursing, especially in the field of mental health. The Shue Yan University of Hong Kong has achieved fruitful research results in the field of mental health. It is hoped that in the future, the two schools can deepen cooperation and exchange in areas such as teacher exchange and training, student exchange, and share the results.
Sun Tianlun expressed gratitude to Wuhan University for its warm reception. She introduced Dr. Chung Chi rong, an alumnus of Wuhan University, as the founding president of Shue Yan University in Hong Kong. On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the founding of Wuhan University, this trip represents Shuren University in visiting Wuhan University, which is of great significance. Shuren University of Hong Kong and the School of Nursing of Wuhan University are currently collaborating in the field of play therapy and have achieved good results. She hopes to take this internship and the awarding of the research base as an opportunity to further deepen the communication and cooperation between the two schools, and to carry out broader cooperation and exchange with our hospital in teaching, scientific research, and clinical practice in the future.
Subsequently, Vice Dean Liu Yanqun gave a detailed introduction to the college's overview, talent cultivation, scientific research, and international exchanges. Both sides have conducted further discussions and exchanges on future talent cultivation and potential research areas. Accompanied by Qu Wenqian and the leadership team of the college, the delegation visited the game therapy room jointly built by the two schools.
Finally, Qu Wenqian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Wuhan University, and Sun Tianlun, Chief Vice President of Shue Yan University in Hong Kong, respectively signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the two universities. Zhou Fuling, on behalf of the college, received the plaque at the base.
