The lecture was hosted by Yang Bingxiang, Vice Dean of the School of Nursing. Chen Xunwei, Executive Deputy Director of the Course Ideological and Political Education Research Center at Wuhan University, all teachers of the School of Nursing, as well as more than 30 people from Taikang Medical College (Basic Medical College), School of Life Sciences, School of Power and Machinery, School of Surveying and Mapping, School of Economics and Management, People's Hospital, School of Stomatology, and other units participated in the on-site learning and exchange. Yang Bingxiang warmly welcomed Professor Su Yongkang's arrival and emphasized that "first-class courses are the cornerstone of cultivating top-notch innovative talents. The construction of first-class courses is the primary task of undergraduate talent cultivation in the college. Inviting industry experts and experts from other colleges on campus to discuss together will help teachers broaden their horizons and clarify their construction ideas."
At the symposium, Professor Su Yongkang first gave a speech on the digital transformation of education and the requirements for core competencies. He believes that "teaching good classes and books" should not only fulfill the subject position of students in the classroom, but also scientifically construct efficient new models, methods, and approaches of education and teaching. As a teacher, one should have the courage to break free from the constraints of inherent knowledge and experience, be adept at using digital teaching as a tool for educational reform in the information environment, form a learning community with students, and together provide impetus for curriculum construction and student teaching growth. At the same time, Professor Su Yongkang also gave in-depth explanations to the attending teachers on the policy requirements for applying for first-class courses, detailed explanations of the key links that need to be firmly grasped in applying for first-class courses, and the key points to be filled out. Finally, Professor Su Yongkang also emphasized that the innovative path of building a first-class curriculum for the future should focus on multi-dimensional development, focusing on innovation and improving quality, in order to promote education reform into the "quality era".
After the lecture, several teachers had in-depth exchanges and discussions with Professor Su Yongkang on issues related to the construction of first-class courses. Professor Su Yongkang also provided thoughtful answers and guidance based on his own experience. The on-site communication was friendly and the atmosphere was lively.
This lecture, through lectures by renowned teachers and on-site discussions, provides a new perspective on first-class curriculum construction for teachers in our college and even sister departments. In the future, the college will continue to strengthen its main responsibility for the construction of first-class courses, increase its efforts in the construction of first-class courses, focus on improving educational efficiency, and vigorously promote the high-quality and distinctive development of first-class disciplines to be implemented.
