To further promote the international exchange work of the School of Nursing, on the morning of September 15, 2022, the International Exchange Department of Wuhan University, led by Minister Li Xiaoshu, visited our hospital to conduct a half day research activity.
On behalf of the college, Peng Qizhi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, warmly welcomes and sincerely thanks Director Li of the International Exchange Department and his delegation for their visit to the nursing college at the beginning of the school year to provide guidance. Subsequently, Vice Dean Yang Bingxiang reported on the basic situation of the nursing college, the international exchange work carried out in recent years, the difficulties and challenges currently faced by the nursing college in international exchange, and the next work plan goals.
Dean Zhou Fuling and Vice Dean Liu Yanqun also made detailed statements on how the nursing college can improve the quality of talent cultivation, introduce international high-end talents, enhance the teaching and research level of young backbone teachers in the college, apply for international cooperative education projects, and apply for international certification in the nursing profession. They hope that the International Exchange Department can provide support at the relevant policy level and specific implementation aspects.
After carefully listening to reports from various parties, Minister Li Xiaoshu fully affirmed the achievements of the School of Nursing in carrying out international exchange work, and recounted the past of international exchanges between the School of Nursing and the World Health Foundation (HOPE), providing detailed answers to the current difficulties of the School of Nursing in international exchanges, and further interpreting the school's international project policies. He also suggested that the School of Nursing integrate internal and external resources and focus on cultivating and expanding international projects on the basis of its existing work. Comrade Zhang Chen, Director of the US Affairs Office of the International Exchange Department, Hu Sijia, Director of the Eurasian and African Affairs Office, and Shi Xinyu, Secretary of the US Affairs Office, respectively answered questions and explained policies regarding their specific responsibilities.
Finally, Peng Qizhi once again expresses his gratitude to the International Exchange Department and his team for their guidance and suggestions in talent cultivation, educational methods, and talent team construction. He expressed that the college will take this research conference as an opportunity to further clarify the direction of international exchange and cooperation in the next stage, and make every effort to create the international educational characteristics of the nursing college.
